Please read these terms carefully before using this application. By installing, accessing, or using Leaders Book, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use this application.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you, the individual user ("User," "you") and Leaders Book, an independent software product ("Leaders Book," "we," "us"). If you are using Leaders Book in your capacity as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces, these Terms apply to you in your individual capacity as a private user, not in any official capacity.
Leaders Book is an independent, privately developed software application. It is NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, authorized by, or connected to the United States Department of Defense, the United States Army, the Army National Guard, the U.S. Army Reserve, any military installation, or any federal government agency.
References to Army regulations, DA forms, and military practices are descriptive only and do not imply official association. Users shall not represent this application as an official Army system to others.
STORING, PROCESSING, OR TRANSMITTING CLASSIFIED NATIONAL SECURITY INFORMATION ON THIS APPLICATION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND CONSTITUTES A FEDERAL CRIMINAL OFFENSE.

This application has NOT been assessed, accredited, certified, or approved for classified information at any level including CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, TOP SECRET, SCI, or SAP material.
If you believe you have accidentally entered classified information, immediately notify your unit Security Manager and follow established incident reporting procedures.
Leaders Book is designed to store formation-level administrative data including Soldier PII as defined under the Privacy Act of 1974 and DoD Regulation 5400.11-R. This may include names, last four SSN, DoD ID, counseling records, fitness scores, and flag records.
All data you enter is stored exclusively on your device. No Soldier PII is transmitted to or stored on any external server operated by Leaders Book. You are solely responsible for device security and data protection.
By using Leaders Book to store Soldier information, you accept sole responsibility for:
Documents drafted in this application are NOT official Army records unless separately submitted through authorized Army systems (EES, eMILPO, iPERMS, DCPAS). AI-generated content is a drafting aid only and must be reviewed, edited, and validated by the user before any official use. NCOER drafts must be entered into the Evaluation Entry System for official submission.
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated regulatory references. You bear full professional responsibility for all content you sign, submit, or act upon. AI features do not constitute legal advice, HR guidance, SHARP guidance, or professional counseling of any kind.

Leaders Book is offered on a monthly subscription basis following a 30-day free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically and may be cancelled at any time. No partial-month refunds are issued except as required by applicable law. Subscription management: support@leadersbook.app.
All data you enter into Leaders Book belongs to you. This Section contains critical warnings you must read and understand before use.
You will be required to acknowledge the following three conditions in the application when you create your PIN. By accepting these Terms, you also accept these conditions as binding contractual terms:
(a) YOUR PIN CANNOT BE RECOVERED. Your PIN is the sole means of decrypting data stored on your device. Leaders Book does not maintain any copy of your PIN, any PIN reset mechanism, or any administrative override. If you forget your PIN, the data on your device is permanently inaccessible — to you, to Leaders Book, and to any third party. This is a deliberate architectural decision to maximize user privacy.
(b) LOSING YOUR DEVICE LOSES YOUR DATA. All formation data, Soldier records, notes, counselings, evaluations, and uploaded documents exist solely on the device on which you installed Leaders Book. Loss, theft, destruction, damage, or factory reset of your device will result in the permanent loss of all data unless you have previously exported an encrypted backup.
(c) UNINSTALLING ERASES YOUR DATA. Removing Leaders Book — whether by user action, operating system cleanup, administrative policy, or any other means — permanently deletes the encrypted database and all associated files. Reinstallation creates an empty database. Your previously stored data is only recoverable if you exported an encrypted backup before uninstallation.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for:
Leaders Book provides in-application reminders encouraging regular backups but is under no obligation to enforce backup behavior. The presence or absence of such reminders does not create any duty of care with respect to your data.
LEADERS BOOK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE, including but not limited to: PIN forgotten by user; device failure, loss, theft, or damage; application uninstallation; operating system upgrades or wipes; software defects; user error; failure to maintain current backups; corrupted backup files; hardware failure; acts of God; or any other cause, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
USERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO EXPORT AND BACK UP THEIR DATA REGULARLY. A reasonable cadence is at least once every thirty days and prior to any significant device change, OS update, or planned uninstallation.
The application is provided AS IS without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leaders Book disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, regulatory compliance, and suitability for sensitive or official government information.
Leaders Book shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including data loss, adverse administrative action arising from use of generated content, or security incidents. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed subscription fees paid in the three months preceding any claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States of America. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts in Tennessee.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Leaders Book. By using the application you represent that you will use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-application notification or email at least 30 days before taking effect. The current version is always available at leadersbook.app/terms/.
